I grew up in a christian home attending church my entire life. At a young age I asked Jesus to forgive my sins and live in my heart forever. With the faith of a child, I believed that Jesus was born as a baby and raised as a man to die on the cross for my sins. He took the punishment for the entire world the day he died on that cross. (John 3:16) And His resurrection three days later gives us hope knowing that we will see him again, face to face in heaven. (Luke 24:6-7)
I was baptized following my salvation. I believe that baptism should take place after you accept Jesus as your Savior, as an outward expression to others of the exciting change that has happened on the inside. (Romans 6:4-5)
I believe that the Bible is God’s word, it doesn’t contradict itself, and should never be taken out of context. It was written to show us how to live a life that honors and glorifies our creator. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
I also believe in God’s love, grace and mercy for his children. He knows I sin, we all do. Jesus was the only perfect person to walk this earth. Through believing in his birth, death, and resurrection, I know I will spend eternity with my Heavenly Father. My prayer is that you know him too!
